Valle di Ledro

Valle di Ledro is the outdoor holiday destination par excellence, thanks to the number of MTB trails, among them Tremalzo and Passo Trat, the extensive network of hiking trails and the guided hiking program “Escursioni Natura”, streams where you can go canyoning, take off and landing points for paragliding, rock climbing areas, and much more. All surrounded by green woods and the mountains that ring the blue of Lake Ledro, one of the purest, most uncontaminated bodies of water in Trentino. After all this sport, be sure to have a cool dip in Lake Ledro and relax on one of the fully equipped beaches where you can also hire windsurf boards, sail boats and pedalos. Part of Pur beach is even accessible to dogs. A complete holiday, thanks also the hospitality o f the bike friendly accommodation, the good food and the several events.

Bocca Trat

Valle di Ledro
It is one of the crucial points for mountain bikers who come from Ledro Valley. The climb officially ends at Bocca di Trat and the view opens onto the mountains of Val Concei towards west and to the ones, which reach from Lake Garda up to Alto Adige in the east. Before you return to Ledro Valley or ride down to Riva del Garda it is advisable to make a halt at Rifugio Pernici.

Malga Trat

Valle di Ledro
During the summer months the alpine hut is operated, and every morning you can watch the processing of the milk and how cheese is made. You can observe the whole production of the agricultural company.

Bocca dei Fortini - Baita Segala

Valle di Ledro
A panoramic spot with a fantastic view over Lake Garda. At short distance there is Baita Segala where you can stop and recharge your energy. It is always open and disposes of a bivouac for up to 4 people. Thanks to the ANA Group of Limone there is always water and wine available.

Museo della Palafitte

Valle di Ledro
The pile-dwelling village dates back to about 4,000 years ago to the Bronze Age. It is situated on the banks of Lake Ledro and an UNESCO World Heritage site. The visit of the museum and the pile-dwelling village is very interesting, because it houses many objects of prehistory. There are also many activities and workshops, which brings to life the museum in the summer.

Lago dAmpola

Valle di Ledro
Lake Ampola is a Natural Reserve of the Province because of its particular moist environment where already seldom plants and animals live. All year round you can use the wooden boardwalk for crossing it and discover the marsh area, the grove of reeds and the lake covered with water lilies in summer. During the summer months the visitors centre is open and workshops and guided tours are possible.

Malga Gi

Valle di Ledro
In summer heifers use this green basin as pasture. In front of the alpine hut there is a huge fountain from which always gushes pure fresh water, meanwhile C de Mez, a mountain hut with tables and fireplaces for the lunch-break, is only 200 m away.

Belvedere di Dromaè

Valle di Ledro

After a long but pleasant climb Belvedere di Droma is reached. From this spot you will have a splendid view over Lake Ledro and to the surrounding mountains, which reach from the Monte Baldo to the Adamello Group of Mountains. Many trenches of World War I start here. They are partly accessible by foot up to Cima dOro.

Passo Nota

Valle di Ledro
It is a crossing for bikers from Tremalzo, Lake Ledro, Lake Garda and Tremosine. Here, in the green basin, you can recover at Rifugio degli Alpine beside a cannon. Nearby there is a graveyard and trenches of World War I.

Leano

Valle di Ledro
The small village was inhabited until 1900, nowadays the houses are used by the people of Pr and Biacesa during the weekend for relaxing profoundly and preparing gourmand polenta and other delicacies. A fairy-like landscape where there is also room for a little church. Some fountains provide the water supply.

Lago di Ledro

Valle di Ledro
Lake Ledro is a huge natural swimming pool where you will find refreshment in summer thanks to its 4 surrounding beaches, one of which is even animal friendly. A jump in the water is exactly what you need after having spent a day on a bike. If you still have energy left you could go canoeing or sailing.

Bocca Cast

Valle di Ledro
In Europe this pass is well known for the many migrant birds, which pass by in late summer. From end of August until October the MuSe installs nets in order to ring and study thousands of birds in transit. The experts will voluntarily explain their interesting work.

Rifugio Pernici

Valle di Ledro
After a nearly 8 km climb the Rifugio Pernici seems to be almost a mirage. Here you will find a warm welcome, delicious dishes and rich portions also for the hungriest of the riders. Outside there are some tables, and you can enjoy the panorama from Lake Garda to the Dolomites.

Strada del Ponale

Garda Trentino

A trail of incomparable beauty audaciously cut into the side of Monte Rocchetta and inaugurated in 1851 to join Riva del Garda, Pregasina and Ledro Valley. Along the route, in the mountain, there are Austrian fortifications, among which the most famous is the Tagliata del Ponale.
